Red lips, glitter, crystals and a little gold. If there is one person who knows how to make beauty look like an extravagant affair, it is Dame Pat McGrath.

Now, the legendary British make-up artist is taking that love of colour and embellishment into jewellery, teaming up with Pandora for a new collection that brings together two very different ways of adorning the body.

Launching today, 8 October, Pandora x Pat McGrath comprises 17 charms and rings inspired by McGrath’s unmistakable approach to make-up, with glossy lips, sparkling hearts and miniature beauty products turned into pieces to wear on your fingers, around your neck and on your wrists.

And naturally, there is plenty of colour.

Red, purple and gold take centre stage, drawing from the shades that have become synonymous with McGrath’s work. There are signet rings shaped like lips, hearts finished in glossy ombré enamel, dangling charms modelled after beauty products and tiny lipsticks embellished with crystals.

The lipstick charms (featured image) are particularly fun, taking an object most of us reach for in front of a mirror and giving it an entirely different life as jewellery. Meanwhile, the lip-shaped rings bring McGrath’s signature pout into the mix, with a glossy finish that looks ready to steal the show.

Then come the medallions, bearing mantras that reflect McGrath’s reputation as the beauty world’s beloved “Mother”. They add another personal element to the collection, alongside the hearts and beauty-inspired charms that can be combined in different ways.

The idea is to wear the pieces your own way. Charms can be attached to necklaces, hoop earrings and bracelets, mixed across different metals or brought together in bold colour combinations. More than one lipstick? Why not. A heart alongside a pair of glossy lips? Absolutely.

After all, if make-up has taught us anything, it is that sometimes a little more is exactly what we want.

For McGrath, the collaboration brings together two art forms she has always considered closely connected.

“For me, make-up and jewellery have always been part of the same art form,” she explains, describing how colour, light, crystals, glitter and pigment have long been part of her creative practice. Jewellery, she adds, offers something different: a way of expressing that same instinct through something permanent.

It is an interesting meeting of minds. McGrath has spent more than two decades creating some of the most memorable beauty looks on international runways, working with colour and texture in ways that have helped define contemporary make-up. She is also beauty editor-at-large for British Vogue.

Pandora, meanwhile, brings its own familiar signatures, particularly its sparkling hearts and charms, into the collaboration. The brand’s creative directors, Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli, describe colour as the central idea behind the collection, with materials and finishes borrowed from the beauty world to create surfaces with depth and emotion.

The accompanying campaign brings that idea to life through models Ava Shipp, Chiharu Okunugi, Ali Dansky and Alton Mason, surrounded by jewel tones, vivid red lips and nails, and charms that catch the eye.

Photographed by Sølve Sundsbø, with styling by Emma Wyman, the campaign places McGrath’s make-up at the centre of the story. The artist created the looks herself, with Ryan Mitchell responsible for hair and Willy Busfield directing the video.

The Pandora x Pat McGrath collection launches worldwide on 8 October 2026, with a series of launch events hosted by McGrath taking place at locations around the world.

And for anyone who has ever treated a favourite lipstick as an essential part of their personal style, the idea of wearing one as a charm might be rather difficult to resist.
